New Brunswick healthcare members to vote on tentative agreement.
Fredericton (10 May 2011) - From May 17-26, members of the New Brunswick Union of Public and Private Employees (NBUPPE/NUPGE) will be voting on a tentative collective agreement.
Members will be able to vote by mail or in person. Mail-in ballots must be returned to the union by May 31, 2011. In person voting will take place at various locations across the province on select dates, following the scheduled Provincial Ratification Tour meeting.
Each member may only cast one ballot. A cross reference will occur between the voting list from the Ratification Tour Meeting (where members who vote at the meeting will be crossed off the list) and the envelopes received at the union office.
The majority of the votes cast either accepting or rejecting will determine the outcome.
Members of the Specialized Health Care Professional and the Paramedical negotiating teams will present the Tentative Agreement with an explanation of rationale for the negotiated changes to the collective agreement at a series of meetings with the membership.
