Members benefit from fair collective bargaining with new agreement.
St. John's (21 July 2011) - The Newfoundland and Labrador Association of Public and Private Employees (NAPE) and Safety Services Newfoundland Labrador (formally Newfoundland and Labrador Safety Council) have reached a new three-year collective agreement.
Under the new agreement, employees will see a wage increase of 15 per cent over three years, severance pay increases, pay for administrative duties, meal allowances and additional rest periods. The agreement will be in effect from April 1, 2011 to March 31, 2014, retroactively.
NAPE represents approximately 60 employees at Safety Services Newfoundland Labrador who are committed to the prevention of injuries and fatalities through driver, motorcycle and Occupational Health and Safety training.
