MGEU President Lois Wales, who attended the ceremony, said she was inspired by seeing so many people and their amazing selfless acts recognized.

I want to congratulate everyone who received an award and I want to say thank you to every brave MGEU/NUPGE member who gives so much of themselves in order to make our communities better places to live. Their actions may not always be recognized with awards but I can assure you it’s appreciated just the same.”
