Public service workers in Saskatchewan bring families holiday cheer

SGEU/NUPGE hosts family Christmas party to kick off the holiday season.

Regina (11 Dec. 2012) - Members of the Saskatchewan public service brought Christmas cheer to hundreds of parents and children at their annual Christmas party in early December.

Every year the Saskatchewan Government and General Employees' Union (SGEU/NUPGE) members who work for the government host a family-friendly party at the union hall in Regina.

More than 300 parents and children gathered for face painting, balloon animals, Christmas crafts, african drumming lessons, refreshments and an early visit from Santa.

Special thanks goes out to members of the union local's Sports and Entertainment committee for making the event a huge success.
