Travel Manitoba employees will hold ratification vote

Information meeting and voting scheduled for Thursday

Winnipeg (29 May 2007) - The Manitoba Government and General Employees' Union (MGEU/NUPGE) says a ratification vote will be held Thursday for employees of Travel Manitoba. A contract offer was received last week.

Information will be distributed - and voting will take place - from 8:30 a.m. until 10 a.m. in Room 103 of the Union Centre (275 Broadway in Winnipeg). Travel Manitoba will allow this time off to attend the information session and to vote. For those unable to attend the information session, voting will remain open until 1 p.m.

Ratification voting packages, which includes details on the employer’s offer, have been distributed to members. The negotiating committee is asking all members to read the material carefully before casting ballots.
