MGEU reaches tentative deal for 700 DSWs in Manitoba

Improvements include monetary items and mileage

 

Winnipeg (11 June 2008) - The Manitoba Government and General Employees' Union (MGEU/NUPGE) has reached a tentative deal for a new contract on behalf of government community workers, also known as direct service and child development workers (DSWs).

"There are several improvements in the tentative deal including monetary items and mileage," MGEU says on its website. "We will be forwarding information to these 700 workers in the near future and will be arranging ratification votes at the earliest possible date."
