Wage increases will take effect on signing and retroactive cheques will be issued in early April or May
Fredericton (17 Jan. 2008) - The educational-instructional bargaining unit of the New Brunswick Union of Public and Private Employees (NBUPPE/NUPGE) has ratified a new collective agreement.
Out of 531 ballots cast, 397 were in favour, 132 against and two were spoiled. Full details of the settlement are posted on this page at the NBUPPE website.
"Once proofread and translated, the new collective agreement will be posted," the union says. "We will now proceed to have the agreement translated and then it will formally be signed by the union and government. After that date, the new wage rates will be reflected in bi-weekly pay cheques and retroactive pay cheques should be issued in early April or May."
