The National Union of Public and General Employees has always believed in, promoted and fought for gender equality. Part of the struggle has been to ensure that we have women leadership in our federal and provincial governments and within the labour movement. To prepare women for these leadership positions within our unions, the National Union created the Women’s Leadership Development Forum which brought together women from across NUPGE components into a forum to develop leadership skills and strategies to enhance women’s issues.
