Health Sciences Association of Alberta has launched a media campaign to inform the provinces' Emergency Medical Services personnel about the benefits of joining 'Alberta's #1 EMS Union'.

Calgary (13 Feb. 2009) - The Health Sciences Association of Alberta (HSAA/NUPGE) has launched a major advertising initiative focusing on Emergency Medical Services (EMS) personnel across the province.

The objective of the campaign, titled "Join Alberta's #1 EMS Union", is to "raise the level of awareness with EMS personnel across Alberta, that Health Sciences has a proud history of representing EMS workers at the bargaining table for more than a quarter of a century," said Scott Pattison, HSAA Communications Officer.

The HSAA's communications campaign will appear on billboards and buses throughout Edmonton and Calgary, as well as some site-specific rural locations across the province.

Most EMS Services are scheduled to move under the Alberta government's jurisdiction on or around April 1, 2009.
