Environment

The National Union understands that there is a complex web of connections between the natural and human environment. We strive to make these links while working to protect our finite Earth.

The National Union has identified Climate Change as a priority issue. Action must be taken, but with an understanding of a variety of interconnected issues, ranging from emissions to human rights; from jobs to taxes; from the power of corporations to the empowerment of communities. Whatever action we take as a society must be informed and coordinated.

Collaboration as a member of the Climate Action Network-Canada (CAN) allows the union to be a part of a national matrix that connects to an international movement developing and implementing strategies to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
