Restore Child Care! Protests planned across British Columbia

'Only a political decision can reverse the cuts, restore funding and build a stronger child care system.' - BCGEU

Vancouver (1 Feb. 2007) - Members of the British Columbia Government and Service Employees' Union (BCGEU/NUPGE) are working with parents and community partners across the province to bring public attention to the impact of the most recent child care cuts.

Only a political decision can reverse the cuts, restore funding and build a stronger child care system. A variety of events are being planned, including public town hall meetings, rallies, letter writing campaigns and MLA visits.

Key days for actions and events around the province include Feb. 6, Feb. 13, and Feb. 26. The union is providing support and resources where possible. For complete information on who to contact at the union, and a list of events arranged so far, please check the link below on the BCGEU web site. NUPGE
